About Aunie Brooks
Aunie Brooks is an accomplished communicator and senior leader with over 20 years of experience in professional communication.
Aunie is the President of Aunie Brooks Consulting where she helps individuals and organizations implement proven strategies for effective communication and growth. She is a sought-after public speaker herself, teaching at workshops, classrooms and conferences across the US and in Austria, Holland, Kenya, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and China.
Aunie spent the first 10 years of her career in the Texas public education system as a teacher, principal, and district trainer. Since then, Aunie transferred her learning and development skills into the business world. She has filled a number of roles in businesses with revenue up to $400MM, including Director of Talent Management and Sr. Director of Culture and Communications. During her tenure at Trinity Oaks Mortgage as the leader for culture and communications, the company was ranked the #1 Mortgage Company to work for in the nation by National Mortgage News.
Prior to starting her own consulting business, Aunie served as the Executive Vice President of Suit and Shepherd, a consulting company geared towards helping executive leaders implement a culture and strategy that aligns with their company’s mission.
In addition to Aunie Brooks Consulting, Aunie is an active consultant with SWOZ Consulting, where she consults businesses and coaches executives across the US on the systems needed to build a raving fan customer experience engine.
Aunie lives in North Carolina with her husband and three sons. They spend their time at basketball games, music concerts, and serving their local community.
